WHY DID WE NAME THE OFFICE ‘FAMILY ROOTS DENTISTRY’?

Family Roots Dentistry is formerly known as Wegrzyn Dental. Wegrzyn Dental was established over 30 years ago in McHenry by Dr. Kevin Wegrzyn and his sister, Dr. Carol Wegrzyn – one of the only brother-sister dentists in the area!

Drs. Kevin and Carol knew that eventually the time would come for them to ‘hang up their drills’ and after much thought and deliberation, they asked Dr. Michael Cheng and Dr. Anjali Talwar to join the practice – one of the only husband-wife dentists in the area!

Drs. Mike and Anjali bought the dental practice from Dr. Kevin in January 2018. Dr. Kevin continues to practice at the office alongside Drs. Mike and Anjali, while Dr. Carol accepted a full-time teaching position at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine.

As a team, we decided to name the office Family Roots Dentistry because we are, and have always been, a family-owned business. We are a family, whether it be by blood or by the fact that many of us have worked at the office together for so many years, and our top priority is to treat you like family.

We are still the same smiling faces that you may already be used to seeing and we continue to deliver the same quality dental care that our office is known for – just under a new name.
